Passion and safety in climbing - with Christoph Steiner from Climbing Academy Vienna

Welcome to the Climbing Academy Vienna! My name is Christoph, a state-certified instructor for sport climbing, recreational sports, and a passionate climber for over 15 years. My adventure started during an adventure week in Windischgarsten, where I caught the climbing fiever and have been hooked ever since. In 2021, I completed the "Glacier, Ice, and Rock" training, which allowed me to explore the fascinating world of alpine climbing.

More and more friends wanted to try climbing with me, and I found immense joy in sharing my hobby with them. It was particularly fulfilling to see the excitement and enthusiasm in my friends' eyes as we climbed together. To pass on my knowledge and passion, I completed the education to become a bouldering and sport climbing instructor and was certified in June 2022. Since April 2024, I am also a state-certified climbing instructor for recreational sport climbing. Additionally, I have been actively involved with mountain rescue since early 2022. Since fall 2022, I have been employed at the Marswiese climbing gym, where I offer courses for all skill levels and age groups—from children as young as 4 to seniors. My goal is to provide my students not only with technical skills but also with the highest safety standards. I place great importance on ensuring that safety and fun go hand in hand in climbing. With my positive and caring approach, I can inspire even the shyest and most anxious individuals to embrace climbing.
