1. What climbing courses do you offer?
We offer a variety of climbing courses, both indoors and outdoors. Our courses include:
- Indoor Climbing Courses: For beginners to advanced climbers, conducted in the climbing gym.
- Outdoor Climbing Courses: Rock climbing for all skill levels.
- Special Courses: Including lead climbing courses, top rope courses, and individual training.
2. How can I sign up for a climbing course?
You can register for our climbing courses through our website. Visit the "Courses" section and select the desired course. You can then fill out a registration form and pay the course fee. Alternatively, you can contact us directly by email or phone.
3. What should I bring to my first climbing course?
For your first climbing course, you will need comfortable sportswear that allows for freedom of movement. Climbing equipment such as climbing shoes and harnesses can be rented at the climbing gym for a small fee. For outdoor courses, you need to bring a helmet, climbing harness, and climbing shoes. The remaining equipment will be provided free of charge by Climbing Academy Vienna. If you have questions about specific equipment, please contact us before the course.
4. How safe are your climbing courses?
Safety is our top priority. Your climbing instructor is a state-certified climbing instructor with extensive training experience. We place great importance on safety standards, including the correct use of belaying techniques and regular equipment checks.
5. Are there age restrictions for your courses?
Our climbing courses are suitable for all age groups. We offer specialized courses for children from 4 years old, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Each course is tailored to the appropriate age and skill level.
6. What happens if I need to cancel a course?
If you need to cancel a course, please inform us as early as possible. For cancellations up to 14 days before the course starts, we will refund the course fee in full. For late cancellations or no-shows, a cancellation fee may apply. Details can be found in our terms and conditions.
7. How do I find the climbing gym or climbing location?
Our indoor courses are held at the Marswiese climbing gym, Neuwaldeggerstraße 57A, 1170 Vienna. Exact addresses and directions for outdoor climbing locations will be provided when you book the course. If you have further questions about directions, feel free to contact us.

General Terms and Conditions (GTC) Christoph Steiner e. U.
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all business relationships between Christoph Steiner e. U. and its customers. The version valid at the time of contract conclusion is decisive.
2. Description of Services
Christoph Steiner e. U. offers climbing courses for various age groups and performance levels, including indoor and outdoor courses, individual training, and special course offerings for children, teenagers, adults, and seniors.
3. Contract Conclusion
The contract is concluded when the customer registers for a course in writing, by phone, or online, and this is confirmed by Christoph Steiner e. U. via email or in writing. The contract becomes binding only when the full invoice amount is received in Christoph Steiner e. U.'s account within 7 days of receipt of the invoice. If payment is not received within this period, Christoph Steiner e. U. reserves the right to automatically cancel the registration and release the spot in the course for other interested parties, or to contact the customer to discuss possible solutions. For questions or difficulties with payment, please contact us in a timely manner.
4. Prices and Payment Terms
The current prices for the courses offered are published on the Climbing Academy Vienna website. Payment is due upon receipt of the booking confirmation and must be made by bank transfer. The contract becomes binding only when the full invoice amount is received in Christoph Steiner e. U.'s account within 7 days of receipt of the invoice. If payment is not received within this period, Christoph Steiner e. U. reserves the right to automatically cancel the registration and release the spot in the course for other interested parties, or to contact the customer to discuss possible solutions. For questions or difficulties with payment, please contact us in a timely manner.
5. Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation
Customers have the right to cancel their course booking free of charge up to 14 days before the course starts. Cancellations up to 7 days before the course start will receive a 50% refund of the course fee. For cancellations or no-shows later than 7 days before the course start, the full course fee is due. In the case of a short-term cancellation by Christoph Steiner e. U., any payments made will be refunded in full without entitlement to damages. Since some of our events take place outdoors, changes to the location or cancellation of the event due to adverse weather conditions, unfavorable circumstances, or unforeseen events may occur. There is no entitlement to damages in these cases either. If a participant does not meet the necessary requirements for the event or behaves in a way that requires exclusion for safety reasons or to consider other participants, the obligation to pay the full course fee remains.
6. Participation Requirements
Participants must meet the physical and health requirements for participating in the climbing courses. Especially for outdoor courses, good physical condition is required. Participants under 18 years of age need written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
7. Liability
Participation in the climbing courses is at one's own risk. Christoph Steiner e. U. is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior. Further liability is excluded. It is recommended to obtain accident and liability insurance.
8. Data Protection
Personal data collected during the course booking is used exclusively for processing the contractual relationship. Data will only be shared with third parties if necessary to fulfill the contract or if the customer has explicitly consented. Further information can be found in our privacy policy.
9. Final Provisions
If any provision of these GTC is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Instead of the invalid provision, a regulation that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision will apply. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, provided the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law.
